PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Murray, Gilmer, Fannin, Union, Towns, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin, and White Counties.

IMPACTS
Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Gusty winds could result in areas of blowing snow and poor visibility, as well as downed tree limbs. Plan on very difficult to impossible travel conditions.
